Jeera Rice




Jeera rice is the simplest rice preparation/recipe. It is easy to cook and tasty to eat. Whenever I'm inviting friends and don't have much time, then I prepare jeera rice for rice item as it goes well with any gravy.


RECIPE:

Cooking Time: 15-20 mins

Preparation Time: 5-10 mins


Ingredients:
  • Basmati rice: 1 cups
  • Cumin seeds: 2 tsp
  • Bay leaf:1
  • Ghee: 2 tbsp
  • Water: 2 cups
  • Salt to taste

Method:



  • Heat ghee in a cooker and add cumin seeds and bay leaf.
  • When they start spluttering then add rice and fry for  min. 


  • Add 2 cup water and salt. 
  • Cook rice 2 whistle on medium heat.


Note:
  • Can also cook rice in pan or rice cooker.
