Paneer Butter Masala is well known and delicious North Indian Paneer Preparation, where paneer is cooked in tomato based gravy. Whenever we go out we order paneer butter masala.
RECIPE:
Cooking Time: 30 mins
Preparation Time: 15 mins
Serve: 3-4
Ingredients:
Paneer: 200 gm
Onion: 2 medium(finely chopped)
Tomato: 2 medium( blanched and pureed)
Ginger garlic paste: 1 tsp
Cashew nuts: 6-8
Turmeric pwd: 1/4 tsp
Cumin pwd: 3/4 tsp
Chilli pwd: 1/2 tsp
Garam masala pwd: 1/2 tsp
Coriander pwd: 1/3 tsp
Fresh cream: 2 tbsp
Kasoori methi: 1/2 tsp(crushed)
Salt to taste
Butter: 3-4 tbsp
Method:
Can use curd instead of cream.

Butter: 3-4 tbsp
Method:
- Heat 1 tbsp butter in pan/kadai and fry paneer for about a min.
- Again heat 1 tbsp butter in pan/ kadai and saute chopped onion and cashew for about 3-4 mins. Cool down the mixture and make fine paste.
- Heat 1-2 tbsp butter in kadai and add ginger garlic paste cook for 1-2 min on medium heat then add pureed tomato, turmeric pwd, cumin pwd, chilli pwd, coriander pwd, salt and mix well. Cook for another 4-5 mins.
- Add cashew onion paste mix well and cook till butter starts separating.
- Add paneer and little water and mix well. Cook for 3-5 mins on low heat.
- Sprinkle kasoori methi and mix lightly.
- Remove from heat and add fresh cream and mix lightly.
- Serve hot with roti, naan etc
