Papdi chaat is something which i can eat anytime. I like papdi chaat more than any other chaats. It is prepared with crisp papdi topped with boiled potato, chutney, curd/yogurt and sev.
RECIPE:
Cooking Time: 20-25 mins
Preparation Time: 15-20 mins
Serve: 8-10
Ingredients:
For papdi:
Maida: 1 cup
Oil/butter: 1tbsp
Salt to taste
Oil for deep frying
Potato: 2 medium(boiled and diced)
Onion: 1 medium(finely chopped)
Green Chutney per required
Tamarind Chutney as per required
Coriander leaves: 2 tbsp( finely chopped)
Curd/yogurt: 1/2 cup(thick and smooth)
Sev mixture for decorating
Roasted cumin pwd: 1tbsp
Chilli Pwd: 1 tsp
Chat Masala: 2 tsp

Method:
For Papdi
For Papdi
- Mix salt oil and maida. Slowly add water and make a smooth dough.
- Divide this dough into small size ball. Roll out these small ball into puri. Using fork make a marke on rolled puri/papdi.
- Heat oil in kadai/pan and deep fry these puri/papdi.
Prepare Chat:
- In a plate arrange 4-5 papdi.
- Now place diced potato on these papdi. Then add 1-2 tbsp of curd/yogurt.
- Drizzle tamarind chutney and green chutney(as per taste).
- Sprinkle chat masala, roasted cumin pwd and chilli pwd.
- Now garnish with chopped onion, sev and chopped coriander leaves.
Note:
Can also use boiled chickpeas and green sprouts.
