Poha


                                                 
Poha is a simple, healthy and tasty breakfast which can be prepared in no time. It is very famous breakfast there are so many variations of poha, I'm sharing the one which I use to prepare at home.


 RECIPE:

Cooking Time: 15-20mins
Preparation Time: 5-10mins
Serve: 3-4


Ingredients:

Poha(Thick variety): 2 cup
Onion: 1 medium(Finely chopped)
Potato: 1 large( chopped)
Curry Leaves: 4-6 nos
Mustard seeds: 1/4 tsp
Turmeric Pwd: 1/4 tsp
Chilli pwd: as per test
Lemon juice: 1/2 tsp
Coriander Leaves: 1tsp( chopped)
Salt to test
Oil: 3-5tbsp


Method:


  1. Wash the poha in a colander.
  2. Heat the oil in pan and add mustard seeds and when they splutter then add curry leaves  for half min then add chopped onion, cook for another 2-3 min.
  3. Add the chopped Potato, turmeric pwd, chilli pwd and mix well. Cook till potato is soft.
  4. Now add washed poha and mix till poha is heated through. 
  5. Add the lemon  juice and mix well.
  6. Garnish with coriander leaves.

Note:

Poha should be moist but not mashed.
Can substitute chilli pwd with green chilli.
