Dhuska is a festival dish in Bihar/Jharkhand. At my home mostly in Durga Puja and Holi my Mom use to prepare. This recipe is specially for all those who miss their mom's Dhuska. Hey guys, this is really very easy to prepare and tasty to eat. Dhuska with the "aloo ki sabzi" is inviting and mouth watering combination.
RECIPE:
Cooking Time: 25-30 mins
Preparation Time: 10- 15 mins
Soaking Time: 6-8 hrs
Ingredients:
Rice: 1 cup
Chana dal: 1 cup
Ginger: 1/2 inch
Green Chilli: 2
Turmeric pwd: 1/4 tsp
Cumin seed: 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil for deep frying
Method:
Batter should be of medium consistency.
Can also add green peas in batter.

Ginger: 1/2 inch

Turmeric pwd: 1/4 tsp

Method:
- Soak the rice and chana dal for atleast 6-8 hrs.
- Grind the rice and dal with green chilli, ginger and cumin seed into smooth paste.
- Now add salt and turmeric pwd and mix well.
- Heat oil in heavy bottom pan/kadai.
- Now pore a ladle full of batter and cook on medium heat.
- When it starts changing color then flip it and cook on other side.
- Take it out and place it on absorbent paper.
- Serve hot with chutney or potato curry.
Note:
Batter should be of medium consistency.
