Paneer Ball Pulao




Paneer Ball Pulao is a pulao where grapes size paneer ball is prepared and mix with the pulao. It is very easy to prepare and taste awesome. Can be served with any gravy. The crunchiness of paneer ball makes it very unique and inviting.

RECIPE:

Cooking Time: 15-20 mins
Preparation Time: 10-15 mins


Ingredients:

For Paneer Ball:

Paneer:  3/4 cup
Cornflour: 3 tbsp
Chilli pwd: 1/4 tsp
Cumin pwd: 1/4 tsp
Coriander leaves: 1 tbsp( Finely chopped)
Oil to frying
Salt to taste

For Pulao:

Basmati rice: 1 & 1/2 cup
Peas: 1/2 cup
Small cardamoms: 2 nos
Large cardamoms: 1 no
Cloves: 3 nos 
Cinnamon stick: 1 one inch sticks
Cumin seeds: 1 tsp
Bay leaf: 1
Onion: 1 medium( finely chopped)
Ghee:2-3 tbsp
Salt to taste


Method:

For Paneer Ball:


  • Combine all the ingredients of paneer ball in a bowl. Mix well and knead into a smooth dough. 
  • Make a grapes size ball of paneer mixture.


  • Heat sufficient oil in kadai and deep fry the balls on medium heat till they turn golden brown in colour. 
  • Remove these balls and keep aside.

For Pulao:


  • Heat ghee in a pressure cooker/pan, add the whole spices, cumin seeds. When cumin seeds start spluttering then  add the chopped onions and fry  till they are transparent. Add peas and cook 2-3 min.


  • Add rice and mix well, fry for 1-2 mins. Add 3 cup water and salt. Cook rice for 2 whistle on medium heat( if cooking in pan then cook till rice is done and let it covered for another 5-10 mins) .
  • Open the lid and add paneer balls and mix well and serve hot with any curry of your choice.


Note:

Can cook rice in wide pan.
