Besan Ladoo



Besan ladoo is my favorite from my childhood. I prefer bensan ladoo as compared to any other ladoos. Can make them in bulk and store in air tight container.

RECIPE:

Cooking Time: 10-15  mins
Preparation Time: 10-15 mins

Ingredients:


  •  Besan (Bengal gram flour): 1 Cup
  •  Powdered sugar: 3/4 Cup
  •  Ghee: 1/2 Cup
  •  Cardamom (elaichi) powder: 1/3 tsp

Method:

  • Melt the ghee in a kadhai or any heavy bottom pan, add the gram flour and cook over a low flame
  • Keep stirring continuously  until it turns  golden brown in colour.
  • Add the cardamom powder and mix well.
  • Remove from the heat and pour onto a plate . Cool completely.


  • Combine the gram flour mixture and sugar. mix well.
  • Divide into equal portions and make ladoos.


Note:
  • You can also use the coarsely ground gram flour for  this recipe.
  • Can dry roast the besan first and then add sugar and ghee to make ladoo.
  • Stirring continuously  is highly recommended else it burn.
  • Can add more or less sugar according to taste.
